The ORANGE PWM port on the hub is the only one that receives the PWM signal from the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard.
Any fans connected to the other 9 BLACK ports CANNOT be adjusted in speed. They simply copy the speed that is controlled by the CPU fan.
This hub is excellent if you plan on plugging in many powerful fans or just a bunch of fans without overloading the available headers on your motherboard.
